The Niobrara area is one of the most
Scenic places in Nebraska.
Our local town, Niobrara beginnings can be
traced back to 1856. It is a small town that
is rich in history. It is located in Northeast
Nebraska where the Niobrara and the
Missouri River meet at the head waters
of Lewis and Clark Lake. The area is thinly
populated and a natural wilderness retreat.

Two miles east of Niobrara,
the Chief Standing Bear Bridge crosses the
Missouri River and connects Nebraska and
South Dakota. There is a scenic overlook on
theSouth Dakota side. There are
boat docks on both the
South Dakota and Nebraska side.
